The Paradigm of Indian Psyche

Sometime before, today in eve, I had  really made up my mind of expressing myself, not just in my talks but as also in what I write (a thing which from time immemorial had been consistency asked by Yayaver). I was going through one of his articles and a thought incited to write something

“Conversations have three levels : people, incidents and ideas. The lowest form of conversation is about people. When we go up one rung we reach incidents which have a slightly larger spectrum than talking about people. But the conversation which really matters is when we talk about ideas, because they are universal and live beyond time and space.” - Javed Akhtar

If this thought had been took up positively by a person as he/she was supposed to perform, things would have been much different. The irony of the situation is that the proper balance of conversation level between the strata of persons is totally the other way round.

 A commoner needs to think about not only persons, incidents but also about ideas while if you consider the case of common Indian psyche the only thing explicitly visible is the concern about persons(mostly) and incidents(sometimes, that also when media pays due respect to all type of  incidents) and never about ideas. Whilst policymakers need to think not only about ideas but also about persons because it is they for whom policies are meant and not paper/book.

The disadvantage due to this proposition is that a person never understands his/her accountability and responsibility to society’s growth. The social science quotient of a person is left bare. Its consequence, Everything in the system suffers: there is no generation of new ideas, no eradication of problems of society; even solutions reached are not in accord with problems. A commoner is disillusioned about role and duty & starts viewing money as the only viable elixir and thus policymaker is never made to realise about his own duties.

It is true that “The conversation which really matters is when we talk about ideas, because they are universal and live beyond time and space.” Because only when the above said is achieved there can be a situation where every person contributes in all respect and a PERFECT Utopia is deemed achievable.

Shunya ki oor

After two self enlightening days of my life I am here back again in my coffin preparing to live a life - fruitless and devoid of human relations; a life which is governed by money and dictated by moneymakers. Yes I am living a hellish life, but what to do...because it is the only way by which i know find myself self-sufficient and we all know what it means.

Life as a philosopher describes, is a ever changing conglomeration of experiences; and it is these experiences

which have made me realise that i too am very introvertish despite evry person i know who so ever had acquaintance with me would be probably denying it.

What is the purpose of life this is what many-a-times you might have also wondered.... Probably live fruitfully...We often keep revisiting this question but always to find ourselves at a same place as five years or 10 or 15 but this thing is Never going to be clear. Even in your last breaths you would be trying to search an meaningful answer to it but everything in despair. So Probably this is the reason we are so accustomed to change the world we live it, make adjustments with systems etc. to make ourself worthy enough as to forget about the latter.

Just retracing back his path.

But the thing is the answer lies in this cyclical process as Mr. Devdutt Pattanaik has rightly suggested..

I feel light hearted now as i have found what i need to do after 2 days of traumatic experiences of emotions and feelings or rather i should say after 24 years of my life.

But Still as duty calls I need be to fruitless again....

My Train of Thoughts ....On Spiritual Grounds Part I

Empty yourself totally, Become a Nothingness,
Only then you would feel a sense of Completeness .

In this world full of miseries,sorrows; there is a light say it hope or optimism, which primarily functions to alleviate pain and uphold a person's spirit.

Life seems to be a collection of happy and sad reminisces.There are days when you saunter, loll abt cherishing idyllic experiences and there also are days when you scuttle and pray to see the day phase out instantly.

Among these two clear distinctions a person spends whole life searching for totality or completeness. In general, an object is complete if nothing needs to be added to it.

So, Why did man needed to categorize things.Probably to simplify and understand things better.Thus he seperated Good & Evil ; Moral & Immoral ; Truth & False etc.

But the paradox is, that this itself complicated the things and thus developed a system which sequestered him from totality.

How????

The basis of Categorization i.e. the axioms on which we say a thing is good or bad , moral or immoral serves the purpose of thinking in terms of extremes thereby giving a perception of one being estrange to  other totally.Whereas these things are not disjoint sets but infact are very well linked to each other. There lies nothing outside the purview of these two sets. As a result we are unable to decipher the content lying in between the intersection of the two sets.

Life becomes a universal set only when a union of Good & Evil is considered.

The understanding of this can be related to light since akin to light, life too possesses dual nature and it is only after understanding this life can be cherished in totality.

We assume that Truth is perfect for each individual at each time and space but according to Heisenberg's Uncertainity principle We cannot measure both the variables time and space accurately together.

Knowledge or Truth can neither be science alone or art but is a congregation of both as -The true meaning of art is to search for truth with false symbols - thus rendering what really truth is.

This understanding can also be extended to life and death i.e. mortality and immortality but there is a difference in the two scenarios. Mortal things experiences both Life and Death but Immortal things can be said to have attained both Life and Death as it all depends on how one percieves it.

Exemplary Action

Yesterday, I went to Lajpat Nagar to collect some documents from TIME centre . The bus I aboarded to return back was overcrowded as there had been a time interval of nearly 1 hr since last bus to Faridabad came.
In the bus there was this old man sitting along with her wife at the seats infront meant for elderly persons. Next series of incidents that happened were truely unexpected. This elderly person extends forward his seat to a pregnant woman.
The most shocking thing was that though he himself looked incapable of standing for a long time and still he willingly gave up his seat to another needy person. This action stirred a few person  with brains and next happened a revolution inside the bus."The seats once occupied were left vacant for all elderly persons and ladies.

It reminded me of what Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, that "Every revolution was first a thought in one man's mind; and when the same thought occurs to another man, it is the key to that era."

Till the time such persons continue to live in our society and keep us inspiring, there is not a scintilla of doubt that humanity would prevail and world will become a better place for us to live.
